about

Coughdrops In Autumn is Antoine Martel's debut full length album. The recording process started in the fall of 2011 after the release of my EP Those Who Once Loved Us, but was quickly postponed after I developed a sinus problem which stopped me from using my voice for days at a time. After finally diagnosing and curing the issue by mid-winter, we started working on the album once more. We completed the album over the course of the next year and are finally ready to share it with all of you!

Coughdrops In Autumn's songs are a collection of life experiences and stories gathered over many years. From the up-beat single "4 of 5" - dealing with the ever changing uncertainty of the future - to the introspective "Moving Too Fast", the album tackles a variety of subjects, some more personal than others.

This album could not have been completed without the hard work of so many lovely individuals (credited below), and the support of my friends and family. Thank you so much for supporting, helping, and believing in me for all of these years. I hope you enjoy what came of it!

Antoine Martel is a Canadian/American singer/songwriter hailing from the largest city in the Evergreen State, and it is easy to tell. Flannel and earth tones govern his wardrobe, his acoustic sound is reminiscent of a simpler time, and he often sports a robust beard. Studying music at McGill takes up most of his time, but he is always drawn to the acoustic guitar in the late hours of night. ... more
